Animal movie (Jamal Jamaloo Kadu) – brief explanation
The song featured in Bobby Deol’s viral entry in the film ‘Animal’ is an Iranian song. Composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar reworked the original song for inclusion in the film. The original composition is attributed to the Khatareh group of Iran, with “Jamal Jamaloo Kudu” first performed in the Kharazemi Girls’ High School choir in the 1950s. The song is believed to be an adaptation of a poem by famous Iranian poet Bijan Smandar. . The old version of the song is gaining traction on social media and people are liking it as much as the new version used in the film.
