At an event held in China yesterday, Vivo introduced its newest iteration of the X100 series premium smartphones and also revealed a fresh smartwatch. The X100 line consists of both standard and professional models, serving as advancements over the previous X90 series with noteworthy improvements. While the standard and professional models share many similarities, there are a few distinctions between them. Vivo X100 – Quick Overview
Vivo’s latest smartphones, the X100 and X100 Pro, feature a stylish design characterized by a slender profile and a circular camera module on the back. Both models showcase a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, providing a 1.5K resolution, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. Notably, these phones come equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and are certified with IP68 for resistance to dust and water.
Photographically, the X100 and X100 Pro incorporate a triple rear camera system, consisting of a 50MP OIS-enabled main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP (50MP for the Pro) telephoto lens featuring impressive zoom capabilities. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera, enhanced by Vivo’s V3 imaging chip, facilitates improved photography and 4K video recording.
Regarding pricing, the Vivo X100 series presents varying costs, with the X100 starting at $550 for the 12GB + 256GB version, while the X100 Pro initiates at $700 for the same configuration.
