Samsung is working on a new durable tablet called the Galaxy Tab Active 5. The mentioned device has been seen on several certification websites, which shows that we are almost close to its introduction date. Now, images of the Samsung tablet have been revealed, showing its back and front.
The Galaxy Tab Active 5 will be a very durable device and its 8-inch screen will be protected by a very thick frame. This product also uses physical menu, return and home buttons, so they can be used even with gloves. Another point is that the screen of the device will be covered with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 for more protection.
The back cover of the Galaxy Tab Active 5 is textured and houses the main 12-megapixel camera and LED flash. This device also has the MIL-STD-810H certificate and uses the IP68 standard for resistance to water and dust penetration.
Other features of the Galaxy Tab Active 5 include support for the water-resistant S-Pen. It is said that Samsung will offer the Knox protection system, facial recognition or fingerprint scanning and the possibility of customizing the programmable key for quick access to the most used applications or functions on this tablet. In addition, we expect the mentioned product to be equipped with high-quality speakers with support for Dolby Atmos technology.
According to MSPoweruser, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 will use the Exynos 1380 chip, up to 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of expandable storage space. Other possible features of this product include 5050 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3 and GPS.
Samsung has not yet announced the date of the Galaxy Tab Active 5, and according to previous reports, it is likely to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2024 alongside the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7. The price of the Samsung tablet is still unknown.
